Florida once again finds itself as the possible decision maker in the upcoming election. Both candidates are focusing their energies on winning the state and it’s many older, high turn-out voters. Obama is currently in the lead after all the economic turmoil of late has turned many people away from the current Republican tactics and looking for something different to save the day. Obama continues to criticize the impace McCain’s proposed policies would have on Medicare, a seemingly wise tactic considering the proportion of elderly voters in Florida who might be affected. McCain still has a chance though, based on the tendency of these voters to go with the more conventional choice, despite fears about Medicare. Do you think that more older voters will go with the safe and familiar choice of McCain, the older white guy that everyone knows, or take a risk on a young, black man who promises change?
