Pay attention on overall Carolina insurance

The Chattanooga Lookouts built a five run lead behind a six-run third inning and a impressive slam by starting pitcher, Chris Withrow, then survived another Carolina rally to defeat the Mudcats for the second consecutive night, Five County Stadium. With the Mudcats defeat coupled with first-place Tennessee’s seventh straight victory, Carolina health insurance trails by eight games with 25 to play in the regular season.

Chattanooga scored four runs in the opening inning against the Mudcat starter, Scott Carroll. Dee Gordon begin the game with a triple down the first baseline. Following a walk to Elian Herrera, Trayvon Robinson doubled home both runs and gave the Lookouts an early lead. Jerry Sands followed with a double of his own to create it and Sands later scored on a Eddy Perez double and after a half inning, the Lookouts had a lead.

Carolina answered right back in the bottom of the first with three runs of their own. Kris Negron began the inning with a twice to left and after a Sean Henry single, the Mudcats had two runners on bottom with no outs. Dave Sappelt, the leading Southern League hitter, grounded out to bring Negron home and the big hit of the inning came from Devin Mesoraco who homered for the 13th time as a Mudcat to cut the lead to one at 4-3 after the first inning.
After a scoreless top of the second, the Mudcats took the lead in the bottom of the second with a pair of runs. With two outs, Negron singled and was doubled home by Henry. Spelt short of across his second RBI of the game with a RBI double and gave the home team a short lived two run lead.

In the top of the third, Chattanooga answered with a six spot chasing Carroll from the game. With two runs already home the bases were loaded with just one out for the pitcher, Withrow, who was batting following an eight pitch at bat by catcher Matt Wallach. Carolina came back with four runs in the bottom of the fifth to pull to within a run. In that fifth inning Mike Costanzo led off with his second home run of the series.
