Employers have long been struggling with rising health care costs and finding ways to offer benefits to their employees without completely disrupting the bottom line. For some central Florida employers, a new idea is taking hold. Several Orlando area employers are looking at the cost benefits of having on-site health care clinics which would allow employees to get health care at work. The clinics will provide many services to employees, but will emphasize preventative care. Employers hope that this will lead to a healthier, more productive work force, and one which will cost less in insurance premiums for treating major preventable diseases. Clinics would be free to employees and their spouses, and will provide the same type of services as a primary care physician. Do you think that these endeavors will be successful and truly save the companies money?
