Sunday’s announcement by the leaders of the health insurance industry to provide $2 trillion in spending reductions over the next 10 years to fund health care reform may be a big step in the direction of securing health insurance for all Americans. The pledge is predicted to increase the momentum of the proposed reform movement, however, skeptics fear that enforcing the pledge will be difficult other than publicizing it to make health industry leaders accountable.
