Florida Nursing Homes Spared

Amidst fear that Florida nursing homes would suffer from sever budget cuts leaving them potentially understaffed and unable to provide adequate care, that fear has been subdued as Florida legislators announced recently that nursing homes would be exempted from the budget cuts in health care and would actually be receiving more money instead of less. The new language of the budget will also encourage nursing homes to improve the quality of the care they provide and would possibly allow for the building of new homes. How do you think the additional funds will actually impact the quality of Florida’s nursing home facilities?
