Florida Governor Charlie Crist has been a major supporter in Obama’s stimulus package, from start to finish. Being a Republican, he has received more than a little criticism for this. Crist continues to assert that Florida needs and deserves the money, and that it will use the more than $12 billion to stimulate job growth, improve infrastructure, support education, and infuse the struggling public health care programs with much needed funds. Experts in Orlando are looking at the unemployment rate and agreeing that the stimulus money will be used to help decrease the number of unemployed, provide medical care to those who remain unemployed, and hopefully help Florida get through these difficult times. Do you agree with that assessment?
