Since the Cover Florida Plans were launched at the beginning of the year, BCBS of Florida has signed up over 250 members. Although the provider is just one of the companies selling the products in Florida, this number is sadly low and does not bode well for the overrall success of the program. Becky Cherney, President of the Florida Health Care Coalition joked that at this rate, the 4 million uninsured residents will be covered in 15 years or so. A spokesperson for BCBS says they are not dissapointed by the low turnout, and are hopeful that increased marketing will boost enrollment numbers in the coming months. Experts however are still skeptical. Do you think the program will gain any speed in the the coming months, or will these numbers continue to be low?
The plan is terrible. They say something is better than nothing in this case that barely holds true.
I dont think it will change much. Some people are just not proactive at all.
