The original store was opened in Pembroke Pines, Florida, but there is also one in the Town Center of Jacksonville, FL. The store offers plans for as low as $20 a month and offer discounts for services. These plans are aimed at people who cannot afford a traditional policy or who cannot aqcuire one for various reasons. What do you think of this new concept of insurance sales and coverage. Are they worth the money, or just a gimmick?

I believe you have it backwards, the first store was in Jacksonville and opened in Feb 2007. I went there a couple months after they opened to check it out and it is extremely impressive. They had every space full of people and the store itself was really cool and different. I went for dental insurance, but they showed me some plans for my wife that were cheaper than getting group coverage for her. I went back during my open enrollment in October this year and am now saving around $150/month vs. having her on my group. If they can keep this up they’ll probably be a big hit.
